After months of preparation and excitement about our involvement in Events Uncovered, the big day finally arrived and was a smashing success for the inaugural occasion.

Drawing hundreds of participants from the top event firms throughout the area, Events Uncovered took place on July 7 at The Argyle in Sydney.

A LIST Guide, Spice and Interpoint Events were responsible for organising the first-ever occasion, and the show was a great opportunity for us to gather, share ideas and be inspired by clever innovations and ideas in the events industry.

Proj-X at Events Uncovered

In addition to taking in the talks and fabulous setting of the artsy Argyle venue, Proj-X created quite the stir with our displays, both to showcase our exhibition design and production services and to support one of our clients, Saxton Speakers Bureau.

Our main display was in the upstairs hall and included a portfolio of our work, along with demonstrations of some of the cutting-edge technology we use.

Saxton had a great space to showcase some of its services for supporting speakers, entertainers, trainers and teambuilders. Beyond perusing colourful graphic displays and viewing a program on a TV screen, attendees could sit on comfortable couches to watch demonstrations and listen to Saxton's representatives.

Attendees were treated to a number of celebrity speakers, including Layne Beachley (professional surfer and World Champion), Naomi Simson (blogger and businesswoman extraordinaire), Nadine Champion (performance coach), Remo Giuffre (creative strategist) and many others.

The current lead singer of INXS, Ciaran Gribbin, entranced the crowd with his music, serving as one of the entertainment highlights of the evening.

Our mobile event space

To shine a spotlight on Proj-X's mobile event spaces, we set up a shipping container showroom in the middle of the outdoor courtyard.

Serving as the registration desk for Events Uncovered, our branded structure was pretty busy, as you can see in the time-lapse video below, and people seemed genuinely impressed with the showroom. Check it out:

Special event: The live graffiti demo

A show like this called for something a little out of the ordinary to really knock the socks off our visitors and leave a lasting impression. We had a special surprise up our sleeves and had a spectacular time letting graffiti artist R-J Williams ('The Massive') take his paint cans to a canvas on the back of our shipping container.

The results were just as impressive as watching The Massive set to work and reveal his vision, layer by layer.

The vibrant Sydney skyline painting does a fantastic job encapsulating our time at Events Uncovered: Plenty of local flavour, brilliant displays and an inspiring gathering of Sydney's top event professionals. We're already looking forward to the next show.
