Project Description

Project Manager

At Proj-X, the activation and exhibition strategies we execute rely on a whole lot of moving pieces coming together with just the right timing and coordination. Stephanie Gallo is one of the masterminds orchestrating these complex symphonies, delivering impressive results to clients including some of the largest multinational organisations we service.

As a Project Manager, Stephanie is responsible for overseeing the entire process from start to finish. Her energy, passion and experience are put to good use as she maintains complete control no matter what surprises pop up over the course of a project.

Don’t let her eight years of previous experience in the events industry fool you: Stephanie is not one to fall back on the same old strategies and concepts. For her, one of the most exciting parts of the job is the chance to do incredible, creative things with new technology and ideas. Thinking outside the box fuels both problem solving and design, and the possibilities are virtually endless.

“The future of exhibition design is all about innovation,” Stephanie said. “Innovative design, innovative materials and new technology to showcase products and services all have a central role to play.”

It’s no wonder that one of her favourite Proj-X designs was the drastic transformation of a typically shell-scheme event to a “fun, vibrant and interesting display space”. The Dell User Forum in 2014 had an entirely new look and feel based on a racing theme to match the Australian Turf Club venue. Created by our talented designer Sarah Brooks, it’s an example of the type of out-of-the-box thinking that leaves Stephanie loving every moment of her work.

Stephanie multi-tasks with a vengeance and impresses clients and colleagues alike with her enthusiasm, organisational skills and positive attitude.

How long have you worked in the industry?

I started out in events working in children’s entertainment, moving into event management roles in industries including Health & Beauty, Experiential Marketing and Exhibitions. Overall, I have about eight years’ experience.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Every day is different, not one client or event is the same. I am always stimulated, challenged and learning every day.

What fuels your creativity

My creativity is fuelled by my passion when I am on-site at exhibitions, events or activations. Seeing our designs and hard work come to life is very rewarding.

What’s your most quirky work habit?

If I don’t have a green smoothie by my side at 3 pm, productivity goes down tenfold. Give me that (healthy) sugar hit!
